HARD RESET RADBEACON FOR MAC
To upgrade your firmware with a Mac computer you will need the free RadBeacon for Mac app. If you do not have access to a Mac please contact us at the email above to arrange for a replacement. If you don't have access or means to check, you can contact us at upgrade your RadBeacon USB firmware you will need a Mac computer running OS X 10.10 or later. If you aren't sure, you can check your Beacons firmware. We recommend using firmware version 3.2.3 for any use with the Simple In/Out platform.
HARD RESET RADBEACON BLUETOOTH
If you still aren't seeing the beacon then something maybe wrong with Bluetooth on your device and you can try clearing it's cache by turning Bluetooth off and then again.If you purchased a RadBeacon USB device from Simple In/Out it is possible it has older firmware and may not work consistently with Simple In/Out. When you scan for the beacon, you should see it. For RadBeacon usb, remove power and restore power. If you are not seeing the RadBeacons in the app when you scan, the beacon is probably not in config mode anymore. On restart the problem should be corrected. If that doesn't fix it, try resetting your phone by holding down the sleep/wake button and the home button until the phone powers off. You should try turning off Bluetooth and then turning it back on again. Apple is aware of the problem and promising a fix. If you've cycled power to your beacon and are still unable to recognize it using the RadBeacon Config App, you may be experiencing the results of an iOS bug that affects proximity ranging. Re-initiating Configurable ModeĬonfigurable mode can be re-initiated for RadBeacon USB beacons by removing and restoring power to the device. If you are using the RadBeacon Config App to detect and configure your beacons, and are unable to recognize or access your beacons, it is likely that this configuration window has lapsed. Once your RadBeacon USB has been plugged in, or your RadBeacon Tag has been activated, the beacon will broadcast in configurable mode for an initial window of 30 minutes.
